YAN Zheng

Prof. YAN Zheng (born in 1972, Xi’an, China) received the Licentiate of Science and the Doctor of Science in Technology in electrical engineering from Helsinki University of Technology in 2005 and 2007. She is currently a professor and a PhD supervisor at the School of Telecommunications Engineering, Xidian University, China. She joined the Nokia Research Center, Helsinki in 2000, working as a senior researcher until 2011. Before Nokia, she worked as a research scholar and a software engineer from 1997 to 2000 in Singapore. She authored more than 60 publications and independently edited one book. She is the inventor of 20 patents and patent applications. She has given 4 invited speeches in International conferences and universities. Her research interests are in trust modeling and management; trusted computing; security and privacy; mobile Internet; HCI, social networking,cloud computing and pervasive computing. Prof. Yan serves as an organizational and technical committee member for numerous international conferences. She is an editorial board member of one journal, a guest editor of IET Information Security and acts as a reviewer for many reputable journals. Prof. Yan won the Outstanding Service Award in IEEE TrustCom 2012 and IEEE TrustID 2012, the 100 Expert Plan Award in 2011, the Sisu Award in Nokia Research Center in 2010, the Best Organizer Award in UIC/ATC2010, and the EU ITEA Bronze Achievement Award in 2008.
